I had a brief encounter with Panicware - downloaded it and it worked great - so great in fact that it even stopped the Printer working - which has the Window that comes up for the printer - it was a popup like the ads so it didn't know the difference. My hubby's networking computer worked fine for the printer. Well never could figure out why I as the Host could not print.
So took it into a shop - guy thought I was missing a system file or something; reinstalled a Windows98SE he had - that didn't solve a thing - then things got interesting; he proceeded to install his own software called System Suite 3.0 and ran it - cleaned out some of my registry - then finally discovered the Panicware - but can't tell you the mess I had when I got the computer home - trying to get the computer back to where I had it - he had disconnected my network; ATI and other things. Had to download a bunch of things... So with the $$$ and time that involved for me to get me going again - I would proceed very carefully with Panicware; wanted to share my story with you all just in case you should have problems with your printer not working suddenly.
