There are I think more general problems with the group-preferences.xml file. From time to time it forgets (at least) the default-group-save-path and the group-color settings or they get changed back to the default setting. Those are the most noticable settings and it is likely that the others are actually affected too. I haven't checked if that happens for all groups at once (I only have one coloured group usually). In my current group-preferences.xml file I notice that many groups have no settings at all, and several groups I actually sometimes look at do have a bunch. For example: <group name="alt.binaries.wallpaper"> <flag name='header-pane-sort-ascending' value='false'/> <int name='header-pane-sort-column' value='6'/> <string name='character-encoding' value='UTF-8'/> <string name='default-group-save-path' value='/home/rhialto/save/wallpapers'/> <string name='posting-profile' value='Eternal September'/> <color name='group-color' value='rgb(0,0,0)'/> </group> When the default-group-save-path setting gets forgotten it turns back to default but is then written like that in the file. Clearly in this case, the value isn't forgotten yet. But the group-color looks like it was forgotten and returned to default. Next time I should ckeck if the posting-profile also reverts to default and/or disappears. -Olaf. -- ___ Olaf 'Rhialto' Seibert <rhialto/at/falu.nl> \X/ There is no AI.
