All,
I replaced the rsyslog.conf file. I tried to restart packetfence with
'/usr/local/pf/bin/pfcmd service pf restart' . The following is what I
received in response to the command.
root@pktfnc01:/home# /usr/local/pf/bin/pfcmd service pf start

Any ideas where to look? It looks like somethings have gone missing or gotten
corrupted.

John,
Try to replace the attached file and see if it’s better.
/etc/rsyslog.conf
