Isn't it easier to use mod_block_strangers module (introduced in recent
versions)? At least currently, spammers are not yet able to bypass it.
Maybe it is my configuration problem, but for me this module does not
work - I keep getting spam messages and my own tests (sending messages
from non subscribed account) do confirm it...
