Thanks for the information about the outdated links.
Usually we release installation images twice a year (April and October).
This year we needed to release the 2025.06 versions because the gui
installer image released in April wasn't usable.
From time to time I upload test images into the test folder below
https://dlc.openindiana.org/isos/hipster/
which can be used like the official images. The test folder gets cleaned
up sometimes, though.
A remark: as OpenIndiana Hipster is a rolling release you typically
don't need to download the newer images.
They are only useful if support for newer hardware has been added
(mostly by illumos-gate).
Once you have installed OpenIndiana you can simply run pfexec pkg update
(-v) to get the latest bits installed.
Typically these bits are even newer than the latest installation images
as we have frequent updates of packages.
And a final remark: The number of people contributing to OI Hipster is
very low. We appreciate any helping hand.
