Cross-reference: #7042 (open, opened Sep 8) rewrites the same reject branch but keeps `Integer.parseInt(wafHandle.getStatusCode())` for the error payload, so the NumberFormatException on a blank status code — the crash reported in #5274 — survives there. This PR keeps custom status codes working and adds the 403 fallback for the blank case. Happy to rebase on top of #7042 (or fold into it) however the maintainers prefer — flagging it here so the two patches do not land as surprises to each other. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
