For what you are using it for Centos with XFCE will be better for you.
As it does provide a GUI.

You should be able to install it from the terminal.

   1. $ sudo yum install -y epel-release
   2. $ sudo yum groupinstall -y "Xfce"
   3. $ sudo reboot
