Thinking back on it, my boss at 'bigco' and I talked, he knew what I did, how it happened, etc. I asked if I was going to be canned or transferred. He thought then replied. "We invested $20,000 in your education today. Why would we get rid of you after making that investment?" It was a great lesson to me.
