Fast residential service is actually the least important thing about Google Fiber coming to Nashville. The business potential this will create, particularly within health care (which is Nashville's biggest industry), could easily impact every person who works in technology around this city. Faster Netflix streaming is nice but we should also be thinking about it from the standpoint of how our employers might want to exploit the opportunity, or even how we as technologists might exploit it from an entrepreneurial standpoint.
