Do we need the "docs" part?
Technically, no, but DevMo may (hopefully) grow to be more than "just
docs" -- I could see there eventually being /tools, /forums, /weblogs
(still don't know if blogs are something we'd want to host), etc. The
main page may eventually be a Drupal or similar news posting
system/portal thing that provides pointers into the docs wiki and so forth.
If we can get the wiki docs and the rest of the site to co-exist happily
at the top level (which may not be so easy [1]), then I think getting rid of
/docs isn't likely to result in any naming clashes. I doubt we're going
to create a new major documentation topic called "forums" or "weblogs".
We'll have one called "tools" but what you want to put in /tools, I'm
guessing, would fit just as well (or better) in a /toolbox, etc.
We'll also need a language code in there somewhere, like
http://developer.mozilla.org/en/
This is important.
[1] An heuristic that might work is "does the path have a slash in it?" --
since wiki heirarchies are done with colons.
