1st getting adsl to work

Probably the gateway is no setup. type route and default should be ppp0 if
not, go to /etc/sysconfig and edit the file called network. it should have
the following 2 entries (at least)
GATEWAY=""
GATEWAYDEV=ppp0

2nd getting more people to use linux

Just start giving out cds with knoppix
http://www.knopper.net/knoppix/index-en.html Its impressive a fully
functioanl debian based distro that runs entirely from the cd, no need to
play around with partitions, or install a secondry hard dirve, just boot
from the cd and within a minute you are inside kde. It also functions as a
rescue disc, as it can mount many type s of file systems, if your windows
install gets corrupt, you can boot with knoppix and transfer files via
network.

Reall worth giving it a try.
