There is absolutely no point in putting work into something that will never be 
accepted, which based
on your solitary input so far is the case.

Therefore I'm seeking input as to how such a patch should look in order for it 
to not be a complete
waste of my time. As soon as I'm satisfied that its actually worth contributing 
such a patch I'll be
happy to do so, but certainly no sooner.

If you are not willing to provide such input then perhaps somebody else 
involved in the project is,
I do hold hope of this and I'll eagerly await such a response.
