I agree, but unfortunately both Ctrl+W and Ctrl+Q are already used.
This is one of the things that can be "cleaned up" once configurable
keys are added to the program.

are plus points for a configurable shortcut system ;)
It's not really a matter of taste, it's more like the reality of
maintaining a piece of software over time. This program is actually
older than the Gnome HIG and the Ctrl-W and Ctrl-Q standard shortcuts.
That's also an example that shows why I should be careful when adding
new features, because they could become a maintenance burden tomorrow.
Ok I see your point there. I was talking from the user perspective
though, although the develomente/maintainance one is as important.
In a way this gets worse when you add configurability, since then you
also have to worry about breaking people's custom configs when you add
of change features. Of course, you will never even know they existed
until after you've broken their favorite feature and they're upset
about it. :)
I'm not sure I get you on that one. Once you added configurability it's
up to the user to break or not the default key-mapping no?
Lorenzo.
Best regards,
Magnus
