I agree, but unfortunately both Ctrl+W and Ctrl+Q are already used. This is one of the things that can be "cleaned up" once configurable keys are added to the program.

It's not really a matter of taste, it's more like the reality of maintaining a piece of software over time. This program is actually older than the Gnome HIG and the Ctrl-W and Ctrl-Q standard shortcuts. That's also an example that shows why I should be careful when adding new features, because they could become a maintenance burden tomorrow.

In a way this gets worse when you add configurability, since then you also have to worry about breaking people's custom configs when you add of change features. Of course, you will never even know they existed until after you've broken their favorite feature and they're upset about it. :)
