Had time to quickly build and test this now. Nice job! Thumbs up.
Thanks for testing!
Only two small points.
- IMHO Home/End should move the playhead to beginning/end directly.
But maybe it's only me.
I understand your point, but if the sound is playing when you press
the key, moving the cursor would cause the playback to jump to the
beginning or to the end. I don't think this is what you usually would
want.
Maybe a solution to this could be to move both view & cursor if the
sound is not playing, and only the view if the sound is playing.
Not sure. Personally I'm rather accustomed to 'playback' software (audio
and video) where Home/End 'jump' to the beginning end. Of course...
- ctrl+q for quitting would be nice as someone mentioned - very gtk-y :)
I agree, but unfortunately both Ctrl+W and Ctrl+Q are already used.
This is one of the things that can be "cleaned up" once configurable
keys are added to the program.
... I guess these nuances which after all are also a matter of taste are
plus points for a configurable shortcut system ;)
Lorenzo.
Best regards,
Magnus
