I tried the test with a smaller amout of max connections - this one got
stuck after just a few seconds:
/usr/local/bin/memcached -u nobody -c 2048 -m 512 -l 192.168.2.157 -p 11215
-vvv > & cache3.log
The connections are still stuck in CLOSE_WAIT at the moment.
I'll attach another logfile when the connections switched to CLOSED
