Dear David I was interested to read your table of distances for 1 degree of latitude and longitude. I see that you quote the same distance for 1 degree of latitude as for 1 degree of longitude at the equator. Are these distances for an ellipsoid or a sphere? If an ellipsoid which one are these figures for?
