Nothing I can think of off hand - the power and phone systems are
the same. Broadband used to be cheaper in Canada that the USA and easier to
get, but that may have leveled out a bit.

Check the US/Canada exchange rate and remember that GST adds 7% and
most provinces add 8% (total of 15%) to most purchases. Usually the prices
are better in the USA for Apple equipment and most 3rd parties. You can
bring pretty much everything you own into Canada as "settler's goods"
without any additional taxes if you are immigrating - but you may be asked
for an itemized (and priced) list when you bring it it. Any purchases you
make before you move might be cheaper than things you try to import later.

Automobiles are sometimes a bit of a pest to bring into the
country, particularly older ones that may not have Canadian required
daytime running lights or pollution controls.

Some items can be brought over later, but should be included in any
listings of stuff when you first enter the country - for example your
family might not all come across at the same time, so things need to be
listed "to follow".

        Where are you moving to?
