Hi all. I have a power mac 7600 with 320 mgs ram. I have been looking for a
daughtercard to
speed it up, and bought a card described as Original Apple processor card model 1100
and on
the back it says 400 Mhz. That is all the info I have on it. OTHER than it came from
a 9600.
Well, it looked exactly the same as the one in my computer from the picture, so I
jumped in
with both (left) feet.. Please, someone tell me this isn't a card that will only
work in a
specific MoBo. Sob. I can't find any reference to it at Apple either. Maybe I will
just have
to PAY my money and wait till it arrives in the mail. ( I am a student so poverty is my
middle name.) Hope my trusty Mac doesn't blow up. My understanding is that my MoBo
will run
at 40 or 50. Any comments appreciated. (I already know I am nuts, but I love bidding on
things.) Signed, a Apple newbie. (Steve)
