If I remember my physics classes correctly, the difference between the
internal (e.g. "die") temperature and the package temperature you
measure should be roughly proportional to the difference between the
package temperature and the ambient temperature.

So the ".0281" in your above "0.1281" might actually be this
proportionality factor.

Admittedly, these classes go back many years, so maybe I'm way offbase.
