            Bug ID: 167944
Summary: Calc UI : data menu / "update range" in third group
would be better "update sort" in first group
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 3.3.0 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Calc
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
The first data menu group applies to sort order.
The first item is (new) sort to determine order, by default of the currrent
range.
The second & third items are automatic sorts on the first field of the current
range.
So "update range" would be more appropriate as "update sort" in the first
group, since it CAN NOT change the data range, instead of being buried in third
group, in which the other items define or change the current range.

Please note that this was corrected in the past, after a discussion with one of
the developers, only to be reversed in the next update of libreoffice.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. See description
2.
3.

Actual Results:
n/a

Expected Results:
n/a

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
This only concerns the appropriate positon of a commonly used option in the
Calc data menu.
The current position, as well as being inappropriately grouped, is more awkward
to access.

(The version may be the first version of Libreoffice.)
