Thanks for taking the time to analyze the structure of that page.
Applied in r1399.  Still looks much the same - html can be like
perl, generous in what it accepts.

Now I can go back to scratching my head about the outer reaches of
the TeXscape (specifically, why one of the *binary* programs is so
slow: the things I get diverted into! :)
