My copy of Louisa Tebbs book is a modern reprint but it doesn't say who published it. Odd. I'd not noticed it until just now. The piece I like so well is on page 39, in addition to the cover, called a Vest in Guipure de Flandre. It could more accurately be called a stomacher. I think it could be a useful addition to a wardrobe to wear under a jacket, over an undershirt of some sort, of course. The picture of it is not a good quality. I think it may have the same unsupported braids as the bolero. At least the lily lappet photo is good enough you might be able to make a pricking from it.
Looking at this book makes me appreciate all the wonderful graphic instructions we have in our books now. So much easier to follow.
