Dear Sue, Far be it for me to question any challenging lace project. But, I am a little curious about why you need a lappet. Also, it seems to me that as lappets go, this one does not really fit the bill because it is not long and, shall I say, lappet shaped. I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but if you were thinking of going about in impressive cap streamers, this will probably be a disappointment. You may have to use it as a purse ornament or something. ð Devon
