This. Having a bit of meaningful feedback is the difference between contributing to improve this project and making this whole bug reporting process an extremely frustrating waste of time with Kafkaesque characteristics.
with no reaction you have to accept that people get angry and maybe if this are people able to send "qualified bugreports" they are angry enough over the long to not report bugs in the future what brings down the quality and helps nobody - patience does not work if people feel ignored!
Quite so. What strikes me as odd is that filing a bug report was supposed to be considered a way of contributing to the project. Those who take the time to file bug reports tend to invest their time testing the software and flagging the problems which are affecting a piece of software. If the users who put in the time to test and flag these bugs are rewarded, at best, with silence and indifference, and if their contribution is summed by some as bothering developers, then the work put into filing bug reports is outed as a massive waste of time and this sort of attitude even tends to be a bit insulting to those who are doing their best to help the project. And this isn't in anyone's best interests.
