It seems more often than not with KDE much is resolved by simply letting
whatever version of Plasma is current parsing the config files recreate it in
whatever it's native dialect is, and removing objects that make it crash.  This
seems more an issue with configuration flags being sanitized properly that it's
necessary to *flush* in the first place.  It's like the old "clear your cache
and cookies" when you call tech support - or just use a modern browser.

As much as I see these pop up, I wonder if the distro's are keeping bad setting
causing kde to die out of box where distro builders don't actually *use* the
window manager.  It's perhaps time to do more extensive sanitation of the
inputs in the first place to not cause weird artifacts?
