I also use the iGPU of an haswell cpu (celeron g1820) and can confirm worse
performance on Wayland compared to X11.
Even video playback is laggy with several different players despite VAAPI
acceleration is working according to vainfo command. Disabling blur effect
improved the situation a bit on my system at least.
