            Bug ID: 429946
Summary: Animation documentation is poor and doesn't correspond
                    to the newest version.
           Product: krita
           Version: 4.4.1
          Platform: Snap
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: critical
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Animation
          Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: kal...@test.tennis24.ee
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
The documentation of the animation is very poor and doesn't correspond to the
current version of "Krita". It tells me to create a new layer and do some
things with it. However, I can't do these things in "4.4.1" and the new layer
doesn't have the lamp icon and everything I draw on it spans over all the
frames.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Just follow the guide and see that it's outdated!

OBSERVED RESULT
The new layer can be involved in the timeline somehow for editable animation
frames.

EXPECTED RESULT
The new layer is in the timeline visible but I can't use it frame-by-frame.
Everything I draw spans over all the frames.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS
Release: 20.04
Codename: focal

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This bug reporting template is also buggy as it demands to see something in
"About". I use "Mate" and there's no such thing.
