Are you talking about the text input area below the main view, or above it?
The text input area above the view is a URL input field that shows the URL that
the view is displaying, and lets you change it. It accepts only directories.
The text input area below the view is a filename entry field that allows you to
enter the name of the filename to save or open. It accepts only files as input.
Which one are you talking about? A video may help to understand what's going
on, in this case.
