To recap how things should work: SDDM reads /etc/sddm.conf.d/* and /etc/sddm.conf which has precedence for compatibility reasons System settings should naturally match what SDDM does We should save to /etc/sddm/kde_settings.conf and remove any newly saved entries from /etc/sddm.conf >From what I can tell that happens correctly. --- Fillip is talking about a permissions issue, but Ben is showing logs of that being correct and it appears to be for me.
