Thank you so much for the quick response!
I tried to do the Image -> Trim To Image size. It fixed the problem, even if
the filter layer's blending mode is set to Copy.

Yes, I've only did once, when I was still in sketching phase where I cropped
the canvas. Is there an explanation how the trimming stopped this problem? 

Thank you for also the new insight on the Trimming part. I might do that in the
future in case something like this happens.
