You have a multi-group, multi-layer file there. Can you simplify the situation
and use just one image layer and a filter mask to see if it still happens? (It
seems to be a Filter Mask, not a Filter Layer.)
Does this happen with any other files you have?
Does it happen if you go back to using 4.2.2 with this file?
