People are listening to you; they're just disagreeing with some of your points. Also, a bug tracker isn't the right place for this kind of discussion. Bug trackers are for tracking specific discrete units of work that can be marked as completed. IMHO the broader discussion you want to have (and it's a legitimate discussion!) should take place on a mailing list, forum, or IRC channel. Then the results of that discussion should yield a few specific bug reports that can be fixed and closed.
