4k@120hz requires:
- A GPU that supports HDMI 2.1
- A monitor that supports HDMI 2.1
- Either an HDMI cable that supports HDMI 2.1, or an HDMI cable that supports
HDMI 2.0 and then you have to turn off HDR, 10+ bit color, and use 4:2:2 chroma

4k@60hz requires:
- A GPU that supports HDMI 2.0
- A monitor that supports HDMI 2.0
- An HDMI cable that supports HDMI 2.0

In both cases, if even one requirement is not fulfilled, you won't get what the
monitor is capable of. So please verify that all the necessary hardware devices
support the required HDMI version and your settings aren't overdriving what the
cable is capable of.
