SUMMARY
I have bought a new dell display S2725QS which is capable of 4k at 120Hz.
However, the refresh rate is capped at 30Hz in the system settings.
I have an older display which also does 4k at 60Hz and my setup with 2 laptops
(fedora 41 and 42), hdmi cables, dell dock all works.
I am also sure that the new display really does 120Hz, so my guess that it is a
new display that is badly supported at the moment.
If you need any other information about the new display, let me know, I'll
report back with anything you want.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. connect the display with an hdmi cable
2. set the resolution at 44k (3840x2160)
OBSERVED RESULT
The only refresh rates available are 30, 25, 24 Hz
EXPECTED RESULT
60 and 120Hz refresh rates should be available
