Sorry for my ambiguous wording, I meant as regards achieving the static refresh
rate. You explained that "We don't actually set any refresh rate with VRR, we
just push frames to the kernel, and it makes the screen follow the rate of
those frames. If we start constantly pushing frames to keep the screen at full
refresh rate, the kernel will also keep the GPU fully enabled, wasting lots of
power.", please forgive my ignorance but wouldn't VRR Off just be pushing X
frames per second, resulting in the same amount of GPU usage as a VRR on
pushing the same X frames per second?
