That's not the case for me. There is no entry like "_markedentry". I'm
using 2.7b...
Maybe I'll give the subversion a try...

So if you save the file after marking and before copying, it should
appear. At least, for me it works on some Linux machines.
But I have to say, I am using the same login name on all my computers.
When replacing "hug" to "foo", the entry will not longer be marked! So
please check the user name.
