It seems like a reasonable enough thing, especially since the calculation of 
the assembly contents is meant to be format-agnostic as much as possible. I 
still think it's a good idea to have a "default" set of formats specified in 
the assembly itself, but overriding with a format subset (or even something 
completely separate) via plugin configuration makes sense, especially when 
reusing standard descriptors.
