Sorry, but this does not address the original issue (or issues which depend on
it).
The current solution means that the user has to repeat the entire copyright
text, merely to change a small part of it.
Furthermore, the ability to add a link to the organisation web-site is lost -
or at least compromised - because site.xml should not contain HTML markup as it
may be used to create other output formats.
I think the solution needs rethinking.
