The .css and .gif assets that normally appear in a site when you build it are 
missing if you use a skin with a custom site.vm.  You can create a skin with 
just one .css file (many people do), and the default styles are provided by 
doxia.  But as soon as you use a custom site.vm, those files are omitted.  I 
can see that maybe some people would like to omit them, if their site.vm does 
not include them, but it should be an option, not the default I would have said.
