Initial request was reverting, which didn't made sense to me looking at problems it solved. I proposed another approach, where the worst case scenario would be a System property. However, the result was this PR, not what I had in mind. Now we're discussing a new setter for the `ProjectBuildingRequest` which looks like the right approach. This issue is active and I expect a solution before the next Maven release, so IMHO I'm listening to @mickaelistria /the community
