OK, that makes sense. However, it does not help for the attached artifacts. 
IMHO it is quite common to pack stuff like additional SQL files, WSDLs and 
their schema files, etc. into an attached ZIP for later use. It would be quite 
surprising if Maven changes behaviour for these kind of artifacts.
