Can someone familiar with the new branch pick one representative test that got
accelerated by an order of magnitude and share an analysis of the speed gains?
It's awesome this code is available! Anybody can run the same test (which one?)
on {{master}} vs {{reference_impl}}, compare and see where the gains are step
by step, but it feels more productive to have the author(s) of an ongoing
change describe it.
