Now... rat hangs for me (?). I wonder if we could bypass ant and use rat classes directly - the conversion between gradle and ant filesets is a bit clumsy (it's fine as a first draft though!). Inclusion/ exclusion patterns have to be reviewed and consolidated with ant: some projects override these, gradle should exclude project-local build/**, etc.
