Another addition I'd like to do is: Casting an `IndexInput` directly to `RandomAccessInput` is not supported, although it may implement that interface. The only supported way to get one is by calling `randomAccessSlice()` which always returns a **new** slice, independent from the original input. Casting the original input may modify the state of the `IndexInput` when doing random accesses and needs to be avoided. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
