Review Comment:
Perhaps in the past we have first released the new major (10.0) and only
later created `branch_10x`. That sounds odd to me though. I think it's
reasonable to have the two branches now (`branch_11x` and `main`, and once we
are ready to go with 11.0 we will create `branch_11_0` and release from there.
