I used `MatchAllDocsQuery` only to keep the reproducer as small as possible. The query type is not the cause: any hit on a child document can end the collection too early. Queries that return only parents are correct. A more realistic case could be one where orders are the parents, line items are the children, and each item has its own `ts` field.
