I've followed the email thread and the review discussions, and it seems there's still some disagreement on whether to modify the existing default behavior and whether to introduce a new method (versus having users construct their own ExecutorService). I agree with the proposal to add a newNonExitingWorkerPool method, as this would both provide convenience and serve as a subtle reminder to users of the difference from newWorkerPool.
