To make my point: all I need is a scalable vector format, but it doesn't need to be SVG. Actually SVG is by far not optimal ( slow XML parsing ) and I would be happy to get rid of its overhead. When Qt would offer something simple like QPicture ( QPainter commands in some proprietary format ) but with proper geometries ( bounding rectangles, control points ) in floating points - I would say goodbye to QtSvg easily.
