Postfix is writing to the unix socket but nobody reads from the socket or Cyrus is reading from the socket but nobody is writing to it ?I've seen this with Exim. Exim sends the DATA phase and never hears back from lmtpd. It only happens for specific recipients, so the only effect is that mail delivery is stalled for some users. Restarting "master" seems to fix it: a bit heavy, but fine for most people, as most IMAP clients just re-authenticate. Fussy clients (like mine ;) tell you something's awry.If this only happens for specific recipients, one question to ask is "did they get disconnected during an APPEND operation" which is a known bug (we hold a lock across a network read that we almost certainly shouldn't).-Rob -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Rob Siemborski * Andrew Systems Group * Cyert Hall 207 * 412-268-7456 Research Systems Programmer * /usr/contributed Gatekeeper In the beginning I had the same idea. So i backuped all the mails in the mail queue and emptied the queue and restarted Postfix and Cyrus. Afterwards i tried to send a local mail but as i said: Postfix / Cyrus do not deliver at all.
